The Late Mr. Frank Anthony Ex MP
Barrister--at--Law (Inner Temple)
Senior Advocate

After the mantle of office of the Anglo-Indian Community fell on Mr. Frank Anthony in 1942, the burden on his shoulders did not impede the lightness of his step. In those pioneering days his community had to find its place and identity in the Indian Sun. What Mr. Anthony with his characteristic dexterity and dynamism had done to accomplish this, is now part of history.

Mr. Frank Anthony was a member of the Constituent Assembly and will always be remembered for his protean personality-prolific writer and resourceful speaker, keen debater and eminent jurist; brillant academician and erudite educationist, and above all Member of Parliament. What he had done for the cause of Anglo-Indian Education and the eminence of English will forever remain his magnum opus. Under his guidance the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, has for years been and continues to be one of the most prestigious Examining Boards in the Country.

The richest legacy he leaves behind are the three Public Schools that bear his name.

On the 2nd December 1993 this venerable octogenarian passed away in the nation's capital.
